Description
Joseph Rutakangwa grew up in Tanzania during years
of deep upheaval, his family losing everything more than
once. What followed was a long process of rising, learning,
and rebuilding. Those early years impressed on him a need
for steadiness in a world that often shifts without warning.
As he moved through different fields of work and creation,
Joseph kept searching for structure inside uncertainty.
Over time that search gathered shape and eventually
became Rwazi, a decision platform designed to bring
foresight where instinct and pressure once dominated.
Joseph gives deeply, anchored by presence.
His emergence is shaped by intuition, quiet recalibration,
and a commitment to direction over destination.
Giacomo Brunelli develops a practice that is both
instinctive and exacting. His images, shaped through
a physical engagement with the world, rely on contrast,
simplicity and immediacy to capture what usually escapes
attention. He moves, observes and waits, letting situations
unfold on their own. This approach produces photographs
that are direct, stripped down and anchored in
an unembellished reality.
For Emergence, the first book of The 11 Collection created
with Joseph Rutakangwa, this sensibility finds a precise
resonance. Brunelli’s work reveals how an inner force
becomes visible and operative. His contribution gives
the inaugural volume a visual intensity that supports
its ambition: to show how what drives a person begins
to surface, take form and translate into action.
Newfund and Éditions Bessard come together around
a shared conviction that meaningful work begins with people.
Pierre Bessard’s artisanal and ecological approach, expressed
through risograph printing, resonates with Newfund’s way
of investing, where financial performance and human
relationships advance together.
Their collaboration on The 11 Collection reflects a common
appetite for experimentation, for stepping outside comfort
zones, and for avoiding the narrow silos that shape much of
today’s creative and business worlds.
