Arch Manifest is a new collection from @editionsbessard linking photography and architecture. Each book of the collection will be an opportunity to discover the work of an architect through texts and photographic documents. The design changes according to the work of the architect: the format, the layout and the cover will change for every issue. The only recurring element, the AM logo, marks like a monogram the spirit of the collection. The capital letters that compose it affirm by being very structured the architectural subject and support this idea of manifesto. For its first issue the collection opens with a collaboration with Didier Faustino, the director of the collection, and one of his utopian architectures questioning the future. This labyrinthine, modular architecture with multiple combinations inspired the design of the book with a play of scale transposed to the body of the text, playing on with the typography and its occupation of the format. The cover will be in a pastel blue tone, a color that the architect particularly like. It will also open and fold in facets, reminding the structures that Faustino has imagined.
