Call for books winners
Original self-published Éditions, recently published books and limited editions was collected through an open call directed to authors from all over the world.The best photo books will be selected by a specialized jury to be part of the exhibition in Braga, being highlighted in the website of the Festival Encontros da Imagem. This action intends to celebrate photo books and promote self-publishing Éditions,making public the 50 best books of the 2015 edition.

New visions of Chinese photography: Poems & Collection: Ren Hang, Bessard Collections & Lin Zhipeng (also known as “N•223” and Pierre Bessard’s collection. The vision’s sense and the image itself, already carry with them ambiguities and contradictions. The vision, when perceived as the “act of seeing ” , has the ability to observe, verify, certify. But, concurrently, it has the uncertainty of the illusion and delusion, of the fascination and wonder. In that odyssey through the multiple visions of such a different language like the Chinese photography,we highlight a new generation of eastern photographers who rise over to a visionary universe of the eastern photography fields.

Today is the official opening of the 2015 edition of Encontros da Imagem, at 18h00, at Mosteiro de Tibães.
